We perceive technology as an option of social wellbeing generation and sustainable development empowerment, that must arrive to the regions that require them the most. In the Colombian case, the country side and the traditionally isolated towns are the places where technology can generate a bigger impact on the life quality and the wellbeing of communities who live in them.
Through this pilot project, we seek to contribute to the design of technological options for the construction of intelligent towns in rural areas, using alternatives such as renewable energies, production systems assisted by telecommunications technologies, the connectivity and communal work sensitization as a development impeller motor. With the execution of these projects, it is equally expected to create research spaces that allow to do a technological appropriation and adaptation of ancestral wisdom for the creation of development alternatives.
